What to expect during a visit from EPC Renewals

Your Domestic Energy Assessor will undertake on-site assessments that generally last from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the complexity of the property.

 

The DEA will assess and log the following:

• Examine the property to record age, building type, number of windows and roof construction

• Take pictures, measure wall heights and create a floor plan of the building

• Check what items are being used, like central heating boilers, radiators, lighting and any secondary heating

• Measure the loft insulation

 

Your DEA will log the information on a computer to get the energy efficiency rating and produce an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

The EPC will be issued to the client.

 

Your DEA will provide practical advice to clients on how to improve energy efficiency.
